Elizabeth Sheppard MSW, RSW
Elizabeth has practiced as a Clinical Social Worker since 1992, primarily in the area of mental health with adults, children and adolescents. She holds a Bachelors and a Masters Degree in Social Work, specializing in Individual and Family Therapy. She has additional training, certification and expertise in using narrative and brief solution-focused therapies to treat depression and complicated grief in addition to considerable training leading to becoming a certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant in Training.

In her 32-year history as a clinician, she has worked with clients in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Ontario. She has an extensive history of treating depression and related anxiety, anger, suicidality, postpartum depression, relationship distress, childhood trauma and abuse, and adjustment disorders experienced with life stage changes including marital loss and retirement.

Elizabeth is a skilled certified trainer and facilitator in Anger Solutions, a respectful accountability-based model of individual and group anger treatment that empowers the client rather than shames them. She is an experienced presenter at local, provincial and national levels; and feels fortunate to have had the opportunity to share her knowledge about depression, grief and anger teaching social work students and other clinical social workers.

Elizabeth is the Past Editor of the National Social Work Journal "Social Work" and her chapter on treating clients with depression and grief was included in the book "New Techniques of Grief Therapy", published in the Fall of 2022. She welcomes the opportunity to work with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

Spencer Hewitt BSW, RSW
Spencer Hewitt has recently joined the practice as a Clinical Social Worker, specializing in supporting young adults aged 18 to 25. With a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and a strong passion for empowering individuals during life transitions, Spencer brings fresh perspectives and a compassionate approach to his work.
